The IDLE word

Matthew 12:36

King James Version

36 But I say unto you,

That every idle word that men shall speak,

they shall give account thereof

in the day of judgment.

SPIRIT prompted me to create this blog, using that verse.

The verse above became the flagship verse for this blog.

EVERY word we speak matters.

JESUS was particular about the spoken word.

What did the LORD mean about "every idle word that men shall speak"?

Let's check these Bible versions:

BLOG name

Proverbs 22:1

King James Version

22 A good name is rather to be chosen

than great riches,

and loving favour

rather than silver and gold.

Prayer always helps.

I don't write, or create, until SPIRIT inspires and guides me.

After letting many name combinations play in my mind, I finally settled on "Gobrecomm", for these reasons that surfaced on their own (working with SPIRIT means you step aside, as He inspires you):

1. Gobrecomm stands for "God-breathed communication".

2. Go is 2 letters = number 2 stands for "Union, Witnessing, Divison"

3. bre is 3 letters = number 3 stands for "Resurrection, Divine Completeness, and Perfection"

4. comm is 4 letters = number 4 stands for "Creation...World"

5. Add 2+3+4 = 9 (number 9 stands for "Fruit of Spirit", "Divine Completeness from the Lord")

6. Acronyms that are short, make sense, and easy to pronounce, can be remembered easily.

7. It's what SPIRIT inspired me to use, after many combinations.

At first, I thought "SPIRIT-led communication" would have been appropriate.

But, on second thought, there were many spiritists.

I didn't want our blog to be branded that.

Could be misleading.

So, I prayed and prayed for a name.

SPIRIT allowed me to "play" with combinations.

Until, when I thought no name was forthcoming, the idea popped into my head.

Aha!

"God-breathed communication"

After all, this blog is on what the WORD of GOD says about written, verbal, and non-verbal, communication.

Now, the title was a bit long.

We decided on the Gobrecomm acronym.

It's settled then.

Now, we're ready to dig deep into Scripture.

Starting with a warning from the LORD JESUS.

SCRIPTURE sailor

Ezekiel 36:25-27

King James Version

25 Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you,

and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness,

and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

26 A new heart also will I give you,

and a new spirit will I put within you:

and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh,

and I will give you an heart of flesh.

27 And I will put my spirit within you,

and cause you to walk in my statutes,

and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

Those three verses pretty much sum up this sailor.

Wherein GOD cleansed me, from unrighteousness, the day He made me born again.

He did create me, for a purpose.

I once taught business communications in the big city.

Wrote practically all my life.

But it was only when GOD made me born again in September 2019, did I drop all other non-essentials.

And rode the boat JESUS was in.

Not worrying anymore if I'll drown, the boat will capsize, if there are sharks, or whatever worldly matters that used to occupy my mind.

The BIBLE became my go-to for GOD's WORD.

It was the only book that made sense.

In November 2019, two months after GOD made me born again, we wrote 22 spiritual warfare books.

Non-stop, for 36 days.

As the three years went by, 71 blogs surfaced.

I don't need to come up for air.

The LIVING GOD is the LIVING WATERS.

And I was mighty thirsty.

How has my writing changed?

GREATLY.

IMMEASURABLY.

My writing's clearer, because of SPIRIT.

My writing has conviction, because of SCRIPTURE.

My writing has heart, because of JESUS.

That's the only way I can write now.

Through prayers, and waiting for instructions.

SPIRIT's idea

John 1:1

King James Version

1 In the beginning was the Word,

and the Word was with God,

and the Word was God.

Where do all beginnings come from?

From GOD, of course!

Through Scripture.

This Scripture sailor thought we'd stop at 71 blogs.

No such thing.

SPIRIT wanted another.

Something on "communication".

At first, I thought it would be on speech.

As we explored verses, I found a wealth of material.

SPIRIT helped categorize it in my mind.

What is communication, but these three:

1. WRITTEN communication.

2. VERBAL communication.

3. NON-VERBAL communication.

We've done #1.

This blog will tackle #2 and #3.

Verbal and non-verbal communication.

What makes me an authority?

A little bit on Scripture sailor on the next post.

Gobrecomm

2 Timothy 3:16-17

King James Version

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God,

 and is profitable for doctrine,

for reproof, for correction,

for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect,

thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

Welcome to our 72nd blog!

"Gobrecomm" is pronounced Goh-bree-com.

It stands for GOD-breathed communication.

It's how to communicate purely, perfectly, precisely, and powerfully.

Only because we follow what SPIRIT and SCRIPTURE teach:

2 Timothy 3:16-17

Amplified Bible

16 All Scripture is God-breathed

[given by divine inspiration]

and is profitable for instruction,

for conviction [of sin],

for correction

[of error and restoration to obedience],

for training in righteousness

[learning to live in conformity to God’s will,

both publicly and privately—behaving honorably

with personal integrity and moral courage];

17 so that the [a]man of God

may be complete and proficient,

outfitted and thoroughly equipped

for every good work.

There are many forms of communication.

There are many types of communicator.

How to communicate well?

LOVE God.

BELIEVE in Jesus.

OBEY the Lord's commandments.

DELIGHT in serving GOD, and others.

WELCOME instruction from SPIRIT.

This makes you a trustworthy communicator.

Of course, you must be born again.

Only by being born again, can one be filled by GOD's SPIRIT.

John 3:5-7

King James Version

5 Jesus answered,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee,

Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,

he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh;

and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

7 Marvel not that I said unto thee,

Ye must be born again.

Come sail with this Scripture sailor, on our tiny, trusted boat.

As we traverse the LIVING WATERS that is GOD.
